  • We only offer open bar services.

  • We do not provide table service or buss tables. Our focus is on creating an exceptional bar experience. We require that guests will come to the bar for their drinks, and we’ll keep that space running smoothly from start to finish.

  • We do not offer drink ticket services. If your event requires drink tickets, we’re happy to recommend resources or coordinate with your planner or venue to make sure everything runs smoothly.

  • Yes!

  • We do not. Milkman’s Daughter provides labor and service and do not define ourselves as caterers or alcohol vendors. All of our experiences require clients to procure their own alcohol, including spirits, beer, and wine.

    But don’t worry! We make it easy. Every client receives a personalized shopping and alcohol guide, as well as our Milkman’s Daughter Alcohol Guide, which walks you through exactly how many bottles you’ll need for your event and how we calculate that number. You bring the bottles; we handle the magic behind the bar.

  • We’re happy to utilize an existing bar setup as long as it meets our standards for safety, functionality, and presentation. With that said, we do not bartend from kitchen islands, folding tables, kitchen tables, or similarly informal surfaces. If you’d like us to use a space that isn’t provided by Milkman’s Daughter, we require a clear photo of the setup in advance. This allows us to ensure it’s adequate for our bartenders to deliver a safe, efficient, and professional experience for your guests.

  • All of Milkman’s Daughter’s services include the assistance of a barback! We set ourselves apart by ensuring two people at your event. This means quick and efficient service at your event, plus absolutely no mess while we’re shaking up your drinks.

  • We do not charge by the number of bartenders. Instead, our pricing is based on the size of your party. This approach ensures that your event receives the right level of service without unexpected add-ons or confusing calculations. We believe every guest deserves an exceptional experience—and by charging per party size, we can focus on what matters: seamless, efficient, and beautifully executed service. This model sets us apart and ultimately offers better value and peace of mind for you.

  • All Milkman’s Daughter bartenders have their Indiana Bartending License and have completed the Indiana Server Training Program. We carry our licenses on us to every event and will be able to show it to you or any one who requests to see it.

  • Of course! We LOVE to create new cocktails and mocktails and would enjoy nothing more than helping you build the drink you want. Just as well, if you want a standard or classic cocktail that’s not on our menu, we can do that too! You would be one of our designer clients — make sure to mark that option when filling out our inquire form!

  • Yes, we have mobile bartenders and event insurance through Insurance Canopy. If you would like proof of insurance, please just let us know, and we will happily provide that for you!

  • Between the two owners of Milkman’s Daughter, they have a combined 20 years of experience in the hospitality and service industry. They have worked in arguably the finest dining and lounge establishments in downtown Indianapolis and pride themselves on keeping up with industry trends as frequent travelers and readers.

    Our founder and lead mixologist, Deon Haskins, has worked in the Circle City’s top-rated bars across a wide variety of disciplines learning from industry greats for the last 15 years. She often jokes she’s a therapist by day and therapist by night — because it’s the ones sitting at the bar she enjoys helping the most. Haskins has received several certifications, including from Consejo Regulador del Tequila for Professionalization in Tequila Culture. She has successfully competed and/or judged a combined four cocktail competitions over the years.

    Milkman’s Daughter creates all of their syrups from scratch, maintains great situational awareness, and shares their knowledgeable expertise with anyone who is interested.

  • Our primary role at Milkman’s Daughter is private bartending—and it’s what we do best. We’ve had the pleasure of serving incredible clients across Indianapolis for private events and celebrations held on private property.

  • We proudly serve the Indianapolis area with no travel fee! We travel throughout central Indiana for a travel fee that is currently $0.67 per mile, calculated from the city to your venue.

  • We absolutely adore private events! In fact, we specialize in them and almost exclusively only bartend private property events.

    We've had the pleasure of bartending at various private events, including graduation parties, weddings, bridal showers, baby showers, bach parties, and catered dinners at clients' homes. As a private company, we absolutely love servicing private events and would be delighted to receive any such inquiries!

  • Yes. A non-refundable deposit is required at booking to reserve your date and time. The final half is due within 72 hours of the event.

  • For sure! We configure the cost of our services by determining the maximum number of guests, the kind of services you require, and what material/features are needed.

    We provide every interested party who fills out our inquiry form with our pricing sheet at their consultation.

  • We have a magnificent list of event spaces that would be willing to host our classes should you need a place! We’d be happy to share that with you.

  • We understand life happens — but because our experiences are handcrafted and prepped in advance, we have a formal policy in place.
