In 2023, Milkman's Daughter had the honor of bartending it’s first baby sprinkle! It was the sweetest late-morning/early afternoon baby shower #2, and every detail was thoughtful, intentional, and photo-ready.
But first —
What Is a Baby Sprinkle?
A baby sprinkle is essentially a baby shower for your second (or third!) child. It’s typically smaller and more intimate than a first shower — a “sprinkling” of love instead of a full shower of gifts.
This celebration was held in the late morning/early afternoon inside the mom-to-be’s living room — and with the addition of a rented portable bar setup, the entire space transformed instantly. The bar created a focal point, elevated the aesthetic, and made service smooth and seamless (no kitchen crowding!).

🍹 Mama Mule
MD’s Mock Mule
The mom-to-be’s favorite drink when she’s not pregnant? A classic Moscow Mule. So we created a Mock Moscow Mule (now a mocktail staple on our menu for our Luxe clients – it’s that good!) so she wouldn’t miss out on her signature sip.
Pre-batched ingredients:
Grapefruit
Ginger
Lime
Water
Guests could enjoy it as-is (bright, citrusy, refreshing), or add vodka to convert it into a traditional mule.
And the detail that stole the show?
Custom drink toppers featuring Baby Oliver’s name that read:
“Cheers to Baby Oliver!”
It turned every glass into a built-in photo op.
🫧 Baby Boy Bubbly
Light, sweet, and sparkling blue.
Ingredients:
Prosecco
Blue Spirulina
Vanilla Syrup
Edible Glitter
Sugar Rim
Yes — a full sugar rim for that extra celebratory touch.
The edible glitter shimmered beautifully in natural light, and the soft blue hue made it perfect for guests searching Pinterest for “blue drinks for baby shower.” It was festive without feeling over-the-top. Another idea would be to do a blue or pink sugar rim!
Bartending tip: Spray the glass with glitter first before pouring in the liquid and also add glitter to the mix!
🥂 Momosa (Because Brunch Is Mandatory)
Since the sprinkle was in the late morning/early afternoon, we had to include the brunch classic — a mimosa.
But of course, we renamed it:
Momosa
Orange Juice + Prosecco
Simple. Classic. Expected. Necessary.

For an intimate baby sprinkle, here’s what we recommend:
Bubbly, Wines, and Beer Only
Keep the liquor options – if any – light
You’re not going to need a lot of bottles! It’s early in the day, and likely more intimate than your first shower
Have at least one mocktail on the menu!
